My Guys at the Creek

3 adorable little boys on a bridge at MInneahaha Creek.

My boys love playing down by the creek.  This past week I even got to squeeze in a little photo time between stick throwing and treasure finding.

Reese had her first birthday party yesterday. It must have tired her out because she fell asleep during our photo shoot today. She slept while we set up for her cake smash. I don’t think she minded waking up to a little frosting playtime. Happy Birthday Reese, it was fun taking your pictures today knowing it was your birthday!

I had the joy of meeting this beautiful new baby when she was only 2 days old.   She was SO new and soft and perfect!

Leah and Eric, you have a lovely family! It will be fun to watch Rose grow under the wing of her 2 big brothers.

Last weekend I spent the afternoon with Patrick and his sister Elise. Elise spent lots of time swinging and climbing on her swing set. When we pulled out some special hats for Patrick to try out she decided to give them a try too…I think they look cute on both kiddos! Angie and Greg, thank you for inviting me over. You children’s beautiful smiles and big brown eyes are a joy to photograph!

My first cake smash photo session was with Patrick. He has been a first model for so many things this past year!

I learned a couple important things.  1. Don’t do the photos outside…it can get too windy. 2. Cake smashes are very messy!  –I’m glad I did the first one outside instead of making a mess of Patrick’s house.

Patrick was slow to warm up to the idea of what the cake was all about….but once he discovered that the frosting was a lot like finger paint he had fun. I don’t think very much cake was eaten, but I do think Patrick had fun.

Happy Birthday 1st Patrick!

Isla and Owen

Yesterday I spent the morning with Owen and his new baby sister, Isla. What a sweet big brother! He was very excited to get his picture taken holding Isla. He was also a natural! Every time he heard the shutter click, he’d change his pose a bit and smile again. If I was moving to take another angle, he’d remind me to take another picture! Both Isla and Owen were natural models all morning! Jennifer and James thank you for sharing your morning with me. You have two beautiful children!

I had the joy of taking photos of a very sweet little boy this evening!  He had just woke up from a nap and was in a very serious mood.  With his dad’s help we were able to get some cute smiles out of him!  Kristy and Jeff, your little boy is beautiful.  Love that smile!
