This smiling girl is one of the first I photographed when I first started my photography business. Now her baby sister is growing quickly and smiling for the camera. One of the best parts of my job is watching families grow.

I spent a morning with Jason and his family at the Guthrie Theater a few weeks ago.  I love the rich colors, reflections, and cityscape backgrounds the Guthrie has to offer.   This was my 3rd session with Jason.   It’s been so fun watching him grow and getting to know his family better!   Take a peek at his 1 year and 9 month sessions!

 

 

Saturday was the beginning of a wonderful photography season.  I’ll call it the warm season.  It is again warm enough to take outdoor photos here in Minnesota!  I spent the afternoon at the Peace Gardens with Georgia and her family.  What a beautiful day to play around and explore for a 5 year old!

I’ve known Reese and Carter for almost a year now.  It has been so fun watching them grow and now their family is growing!  A new baby will be coming in the early summer!  You can see already that Carter is going to make an amazing big brother.  He is a sweet little boy.  Quick to share a kiss with his sister and a story about his new love of penguins.  Reese was quick to move and smile and giggle and move some more today!

Tori, it was nice to see you and your family again.  I can’t wait to meet your new little one in July!

I had the honor of taking photos of Georgia and her new baby sister, Maria last Saturday. It was a family affair! Both grandmas flew in from Romania to welcome Maria. It was fun spending the day with a lovely family and a sweet, mellow newborn. Maria spent the day dreaming while everyone had a chance to cuddle her in a few pictures. Isabella and Catalin, thank you for inviting me into your home and sharing your 2 beautiful daughters with me. I look forward to watching them grow!

I spent the morning with the Levendoski family at Mill City Museum and the Guthrie Theater in downtown Minneapolis. What a fun family! There was some dancing, laughing, and lots of cute smiles by the well dressed young man below! Love his shiny black shoes, tie, and spiked hair. Enjoy a quick sneak peek Levendoskis.

Ben and I spent the morning at the Guthrie Theater. I have an upcoming photo shoot there and wanted to check it out again with my camera and a cute little subject.

It was a beautiful fall day to take photos at Richardson Nature Center with August and Finn. Finn enjoyed looking for fish in the lake and climbing a tree. He did keep trying to find the “real” park as we hiked around. August was just happy showing off her exceptional one year old walking skills and big blue eyes.

I’ve known Finn and August’s mom, Leah, since she was the one out fishing and climbing trees as a tomboy. I spent every summer as a child at our cabin hanging out with Leah’s family. They are some of my favorite memories! It was so fun to catch up a bit yesterday with you Leah. You and Harold have a beautiful family!

Last week on a beautifully sunny day, I met my friend at Richardson Nature Center for a hike with our kids. I wanted to get some photos of her daughter along the way. I appreciate the bright warmth in these photos even more after a day like today. My kids wore sweatshirts and long pants to school. The weather can changes so quickly this time of year.

I am so glad we met at the park Angie. Can’t wait until it works again and hopefully the weather will be as beautiful! I want to get pictures of Patrick next!

There always has to be a first, I’d never had anyone fall asleep during a shoot.  Well, except for newborns of course!    20 minutes into our one year photo shoot, Reese had fallen asleep in her mom’s arms.  It was her birthday and she had celebrated the day before.  Now she was tired.  We let her sleep and headed back home to set up for  a cake smash.  She had no problem waking up when she saw the cake!
